But there are plenty of other authors coming to town this fall who can help cultivate a love of reading in young people. Among them: Jon Scieszka, Maggie Stiefvater, Jasper Fforde, Brandon Mull and Patrick Ness. Heather Brewer has also rounded up several more for a one-day young adult lit/conference on bullying.For adults, Michael Chabon will talk about "Telegraph Avenue," Amy Tan and Pat Conroy have new books, and suspense favorites such as Lee Child, Sue Grafton and Sara Paretsky are back.On the nonfiction front, Howard G. Buffett and Howard W. Buffett, son and grandson, respectively, of billionaire investor Warren Buffett, will be in St. Louis to discuss philanthropy, Ray Suarez examines "Latino Americans" and Elizabeth Kendall remembers the ballet of George Balanchine.Poetry lovers will no longer pour into Schlafly Bottleworks for Observable Readings. This fall, on the second Monday of the month, they will hit Llywelyn's Pub in the Central West End. In other news, the Library Associates of St. Louis University decided not to give a St. Louis Literary Award this year.
