He is also accused of sending her more than 100 text messages, many containing threats, according to the document.The couple's divorce was finalized Nov. 16, 2012, according to the court website.Charges were filed against Handrahan on Dec. 18, 2012, along with a warrant for his arrest. He was booked in Davis County Jail on Aug. 15, where he is being held in lieu of $10,000 bail."This is the first time I've seen a case where a husband sent out pornographic photos of his ex-wife," said Deputy Davis County Attorney Nathan Lyon.Across the country, prosecutors and law enforcement are getting more complaints, generally from ex-wives and ex-girlfriends, about "revenge porn."Their private photos they once shared in an intimate relationship are now being used against them, according to news stories. Today it is planning to take evidence from Neville Richardson, the former boss of Britannia, who rose to become chief executive of the combined Co-op-Britannia group, before waltzing off with a large cheque.A good place for Tyrie and his colleagues to start might be the press release of January 21, 2009. It boasted that the merger of the group would 'create a super-mutual as an ethical alternative to shareholder-owned banks'. The merged enterprise would 'offer a unique opportunity to create a new force in British financial services ? strongly capitalised and with the scale to offer customers a full range of services'.Even given the tendency of advisers promoting mergers to engage in hyperbole this particular document looks to have been a masterly piece of dissembling. We know from the Co-operative Bank's latest results that the Britannia merger was an abomination with the combined bank having to write-down pounds sterling 496m of its assets. Far from being well capitalised the new City monitor, the Prudential Regulation Authority, has determined that the bank needs pounds sterling 1.5bn of new capital.This has required the Co-op group to discard its insurance assets, renege on its commitment to mutuality and abandon plans to lend to small businesses.Claims to be an ethical bank also have been shattered by the disclosure of until recently hidden losses, sweetheart housing and pay deals with executives and the decision to provide the Labour Party and Celtic Football Club the kind of cheap loans terms that most of us could only dream of.Even as Richardson makes his appearance there must be serious doubts as to w迷你倉ether the new Co-op management, headed by Euan Sutherland, can pull off the bank rescue. From that perspective, Pudong is way too big and it would be far more difficult to control such potential risks than to deal with just several specific parts of Pudong district,” the source said. “But it’s always a good option to expand further to cover all of Pudong if the free-trade zone can be worked smoothly in its early stages.”In early 1990, the central government announced the Pudong New Area – covering the eastern side of Shanghai’s main Huangpu River – as its newest special economic zone following the success of the Shenzhen zone. This isn't a math problem with a sure solution. Statistics can't determine what Kubiak can or cannot do as a head coach.Not one Super Bowl-winning coach in NFL history had won the Super Bowl before he, well, won a Super Bowl. So as it stands, Kubiak has to get it done before one can say for sure that he can get it done.My favorite organization-building guideline comes from a general manager who once told me that if a team doesn't have a top-10 coach or a top-10 quarterback, it should be looking for one.Do the Texans have a top-10 coach?No.Hold up. Don't give up on your champagne wishes, caviar dreams and Super Bowl hopes just yet.You should see where the "experts" ranked Bill Belichick before he and the Patriots reeled off three Super Bowl wins in four seasons.Entering his eighth season with the Texans, Kubiak is 59-53 overall and 2-2 in the playoffs, but at least he is trending in the right direction.With a 22-10 regular-season mark the last two years, plus a playoff win each season, Kubiak has risen from the bottom of the league coaching ranks to just above the middle.While his conservatism is often exaggerated, Kubiak's play-it-safe nature makes him less flashy than some other top coaches. The flashier coaches earn the most headlines.Thus, Kubiak probably will never be overrated.The time is nowAs with most coaches, the public's perception of him as a head coach improved as his team's record improved, which improved as his players improved. But Kubiak is also a much better coach than he was three or four years ago.This is the right time for him to be at his best.The Texans open the 2013 season at San Diego on Monday with the best roster the organization has ever had, a Super Bowl-caliber roster that deserves a Super Bowl-caliber coach.On any given Sunday, Kubiak is among the best in the business, but right now his resume isn't good enough to earn him a top-10 ranking. There is no question he is a top-10 off迷你倉nsive coach.Belichick, with five Super Bowl appearances in the last 12 years, is an automatic as the NFL's best overall head coach.Tom Coughlin, John Harbaugh, Mike McCarthy, Sean Payton and Mike Tomlin, who have all won Super Bowls since Kubiak took over the Texans in 2006, are consensus top-10 coaches as well.While I prefer not to give lifetime achievement awards, it is hard to argue against the inclusion on any top-10 list of Mike Shanahan, Kubiak's mentor and a two-time Super Bowl champion, and Andy Reid, who took the Eagles to five NFC Championship Games and a Super Bowl before his team fell apart the last two seasons.As is, we're already eight coaches in, and we have yet to include another automatic choice in Jim Harbaugh, who has been in the league only two years but had the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game in 2011 and the Super Bowl last year.The 10th slot has to go to John Fox or Mike Smith, whose Broncos and Falcons tied for the league's best record a year ago. Fox led the Panthers to a Super Bowl and another NFC title game. Smith has had disappointing postseasons with Atlanta, but he has twice as many playoff appearances, with almost as many regular-season wins and half the losses as Kubiak.Kubiak fits in the next group -- at the top of it, actually -- with Jeff Fisher, Pete Carroll, Marvin Lewis and Rex Ryan. Yes, Ryan too.A better KubiakWhile Ryan may have a couple of AFC title game appearances to his credit, the mess he has led with the Jets the last couple of years leaves him as just the second-best NFL head coach to attend his son's football game on Saturday. (Kubiak went to College Station to check out his son Klein, a senior receiver for Rice.)What does it all mean?Not much.Yes, there are coaches out there who would be an upgrade over Kubiak. Source: The Baltimore SunSept.儲存 04--According to Jewish tradition, those who atone over the High Holidays for the sins of the past year will be granted peace, prosperity and life.As thousands of area Jews prepare to begin the solemn season Wednesday night amid high tensions in the Middle East, local rabbis say they've been praying that God might bestow similar good fortune on Israel.The topic of the Jewish homeland has long been an integral part of the religious observations for Rosh Hashana, which starts at sundown Wednesday, to Yom Kippur on Sept. 13.But concerns about Israel have taken on increased urgency as President Barack Obama lobbies Congress to support a military strike against Syria for its suspected use of chemical weapons.Syria's ally, Iran, has threatened to "rain fire" on the Jewish state in retaliation for such a strike.In Baltimore, a sense of anxiety has pressed on many congregational leaders as they prepare for 10 days of observances that are supposed to bring spiritual refreshment."Israel is a miracle 2,000 years in the making," says Rabbi Mitchell Wohlberg, spiritual leader of Beth Tfiloh Congregation in Pikesville. "Yet one generation after 6 million Jews were gassed [during World War II], Jews are having to buy gas masks. I'm concerned."Israel, a nation of 8 million, is home to 45 percent of the world's Jewish population. Tensions in the Middle East were very much on the minds of the men and women charged with setting the spiritual tone for the High Holidays, otherwise known as the Days of Awe, when more congregants attend services than they do at any other time of the year."I'm definitely thinking about how to say the right things to my congregation," says Rabbi Yerachmiel Shapiro of Moses Montefiore Anshe Emunah, an Orthodox synagogue in northwest Baltimore County. "Everyone is on edge. Almost everyone has some kind of connection to Israel. Our cantor is from there. Many congregants have children serving in the Israeli Defense Forces. They're all on our mind."Although conflict between Israel and some of its neighbors is not new, Shapiro says he fears this particular escalation is so fraught with complications that it could be worse than others."Things seem to be reaching a head right now. Iran seems to be on the threshold of having what they need to create a nuclear weapon. I do think things feel a little different this time," he says.Shapiro plans to spend part of his Sabbath sermon on Saturday encouraging his congregation "to take prayer and meditation especially seriously" as the new year -- the 5774th on the Jewish calendar -- dawns.The High Holidays are a time for ritual, from the blowing of the shofar, or ram's horn, to the recital of ancient liturgy from the mahzor, the prayer book specific to the season.The shofar blast, heard over the two days of Rosh Hashana, is a symbolic reminder for Jews to engage in reflection this time of year.It's natural, clerics say, to make the safety of the Jewish state a central topic. The scriptural readings associated with Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur focus on themes connected to Israel.Over the next two days, rabbis around the world will read from Genesis 21 and 22, passages that describe how God rewarded Abraham's faithfulness with the promise of a homeland."I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore," the Scripture reads. "Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed."On Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year, the last words spoken in services around the world are "next year in Jerusalem" -- a nod to the day, promised by Moses in the Book of Deuteronomy, when all Jewish people will be able to return from exile to the land they see as central to their covenant with God.Wohlberg has long devoted at least one High Holiday sermon to whatever happens to be going on in Isra新蒲崗迷你倉l."I don't need a war to remind me to speak about Israel," says Wohlberg. "Israel is always relevant."Rabbi Benjamin Sharff of Har Sinai Congregation in Owings Mills, who says his congregation includes people who avidly support Israel and others who are more critical, sees it as part of his job to remind everyone to consider the full complexity of events in the Middle East before deciding how they feel about any moves Israel makes."Things are never as black and white as they appear at first," says Sharff, who addressed the Syrian civil war on Friday night and says he will do so again on Yom Kippur morning."During the High Holy Days, we stand in judgment for our actions during the past year, with the idea of trying to right any wrongs and set new pathways for ourselves," he says. "How can you remove yourself from the broader world as you do that?"People will be thinking about this fluid, dynamic situation and expecting me to say something about it."Sharff believes that even if American involvement would escalate tensions around Israel, someone must make a clear statement that any use of chemical weapons is an "affront to humanity."Rabbi Steven Schwartz of Beth El Congregation in Pikesville, who has spent considerable time in Israel, says Israelis are so accustomed to threats from neighbors that when tensions do escalate, they're less prone to alarm than their supporters in the United States.Gas masks or not, he says, those who live in Israel tend more toward a state of resigned readiness than to panic, one reason he guesses reports in the Western press might be somewhat overblown."I'm not sure I'd really say it's a crisis there," Schwartz says. He plans to speak on Yom Kippur about the importance of Israel, though not necessarily about current tensions."In many ways, the situations in Syria and Iran have even made things easier for Israel. There's less attention on the Israeli-Arab situation, at least for the time being," he says.Wohlberg, a longtime friend of Israel, sees the situation as more perilous. He says it's worth recalling that this year is the 40th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War, when a coalition of Arab military forces stunned the world with a surprise invasion of Israel on that holiest of days."It was one of those never-to-be-forgotten moments, like the Kennedy assassination," says Wohlberg, now in his 35th year of leadership at Beth Tfiloh. "There we sat on the high holidays as we got the news that the Egyptians had crossed the Suez Canal and the Syrians were in the Golan Heights."There's a sense of knowing how close we came to losing Israel -- and that it can definitely happen again."At Beth Tfiloh, the sentiment is not just an annual feeling. For the past several years, Wohlberg's synagogue has purchased more Israel Bonds -- bonds in support of nonmilitary causes in the Jewish state -- than any in America.Over the next ten days, he says, he expects most rabbis in the area to delve into the Syria and Iranian questions."All of us have great-grandparents who prayed for [the creation of] Israel. And all of a sudden, we're the generation that has it. The High Holidays are an opportunity to rekindle the flame of commitment," he says.Shapiro agrees. Even though the Syrian crisis has him nervous, he also offers a chance for Jews to deepen their connection to their faith and their nation -- which has been the purpose of the Days of Awe for thousands of years."I don't have classified intelligence about will happen, but one of the things I'm going to say [on Yom Kippur] is that when we don't have anything to be afraid of, or anything to be thankful for, it's difficult to really pray," he says. "Caterpillar has been a huge supporter of mine and Richard Childress Racing. But a lot of the funding is not in place for next year. And at the end of 2014, I was going to step back and not run a full schedule anymore."This gives Richard the opportunity to move that team forward, to put the funding in place with a really good driver. The timing was right to go out and do something different. I agreed to step aside."Burton, a native of South Boston, wants to continue driving in the Sprint Cup Series, but only with a competitive team."I don't anticipate doing something that can't be competitive," Burton said. "I don't mind building something, but it can't be from the bottom. At 46, that's not something I look forward to. I'll see what comes up."I consider myself a Cup driver, but there's no shame in running Nationwide or Truck or Late Model. It's an honor to race, and it shouldn't be about the series."Racing is an art and a privilege. If you're a racer and don't have the opportunity to do 100 percent of what you want and an opportunity presents itself, you go race."Burton will finish this season with RCR. On Saturday, he'll be in the field for the Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway.Burton is in his 21st season on NASCAR's top circuit. In many of those seasons, he was a legitimate contender for the season title. But his last Chase appearance was in 2010, and his team isn't in contention for a spot this迷你倉出租year."It's more than frustrating, it's demoralizing," Burton said. "And it's hard when the 29 team (Kevin Harvick) has been successful and the other (RCR) teams haven't. That forces the owner to ask what's the issue? Is it the driver? Is it the team? Is it a combination? No owner wants to have to do that. No driver wants to be in that situation."But it is part of our business. It is part of professional sports. You're under constant scrutiny from everybody involved. If you don't want that, don't do this."Burton has 21 Sprint Cup victories, the most recent in 2008.He has 134 top-five finishes (two this season) and 253 top-10 finishes (five this season). He has won $86.2 million in his Sprint Cup career."It's not been a smooth career," he said. "Not a lot of people gave me a shot when I got my first opportunity. I went on to be very successful. I went through a period where we weren't very good at all, and went through another period where we contended for championships and won races. Recently, we've been in a period where we haven't contended."It's been an earned career. That's what life is. I'm proud of the way I've handled the good times and bad times. It's fun to be part of teams where the people rally around each other. It's been a journey. If you're only worried about the destination and don't want to take the journey, don't do this. It's tough."Wednesday, things again got tough for Burton."It was brought to my attention last week that if nothing happens between now and Phoenix, that will be my 1,000th NASCAR start," Burton said.
